This ancient method involves creating an image by incising or etching lines into a hard surface, which are then filled with ink and transferred onto paper. The word \"intaglio\" comes from the Italian term meaning \"to cut into.\"\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis workshop, taught by artist and instructor Alison Willard, explores intaglio printmaking using tetrapak cartons—the aluminum and plastic composite material used in juice and milk packaging. This sustainable, eco-friendly alternative to traditional copper plates makes intaglio printmaking accessible to artists while promoting environmental consciousness.
