About This Exhibit

LightChasers is a photographic exhibition celebrating the many ways artists capture, manipulate, and reimagine light through photography and image based processes. This exhibit welcomes work ranging from traditional photography to experimental and camera less techniques, highlighting the creative possibilities of light, shadow, texture, movement, and atmosphere.

NoCo Arts invites photographers and image makers to share original work that explores visual storytelling, artistic experimentation, and personal interpretation through photographic media.

Eligibility and Media

  • Open to artists 18 years and older
  • Open to artists within the United States
  • This exhibition welcomes analog and digital photography as well as camera less photographic processes including cyanotypes, anthotypes, lumen prints, mixed media, and collage work that incorporates original photographic elements.
  • All submitted work must be original and created by the artist.

Submission Guidelines

  • Submit up to 10 original works that have not previously been exhibited at NoCo Arts
  • Include high resolution images with each submission
  • Provide artwork title, medium, dimensions, and sale price for each piece
  • AI generated imagery will not be accepted
  • Include a brief artist statement describing how your work connects to the exhibition theme
  • After completing the application form, artists should email all required submission materials to the provided submission email address

  • Originality and creative interpretation of the exhibition theme
  • Technical execution and craftsmanship
  • Composition and visual impact
  • Artistic voice and authenticity
  • Professional presentation suitable for gallery display
  • Overall fit within the exhibition vision

Submission Deadline: May 01, 2026

Acceptance Notification: May 03, 2026

Exhibition Dates: June 03, 2026 through July 26, 2026

Artist Reception Date: June 06, 2026

Artist Reception: Opening reception Saturday, June 6, 2026 from 5pm to 7pm featuring exhibiting artists and community guests.

Submission Fee No submission fee
Participation Fee $50 participation fee for selected artists, waived for NoCo Arts members

Before You Apply

  • There is no submission fee for this exhibition.
  • Artists selected for the exhibit will be required to pay a participation fee unless waived through NoCo Arts membership benefits.
  • Selected artists may also be asked to participate in exhibition related community engagement opportunities connected to the gallery experience.
  • All accepted artwork should be professionally presented and ready for gallery display.
