Framing 101 Workshop

Learn basic picture framing skills using ready-made (store bought or thrifted) frames in this hands-on Framing 101 Workshop taught by Kat Evans.

This workshop covers the following:

• How to properly select frames for your specific framing needs.
• The framer's toolbox:  what tools to have and how to use them.
• Determining the type of hardware to use on your frame and how to install them.
• The importance of quality materials for preserving artwork and photos.
• Proper ways to attach flat artwork/photos to mat board and canvases to frame.
• Final steps for frame finishing for at-home and gallery presentation.

Participants are asked to bring in at least 1 flat artwork or photograph that is 5" x 7" in size.  ALL other materials are included.
